I bought this computer approximately four months ago for use during a deployment to Afghanistan and later during graduate school. All of the computer's hardware works fine, but Microsoft's Vista is truly this computer's greatest drawback.

Hewlett Packard installs far far too much trial software on its new computers which eats up tons of memory and constantly plagues the user with endlessly annoying pop-ups and pleas to buy or download more software BUT Vista is this little computer's true Achilles' heel.

The battery drains very fast, the HP Total Care Advisor is rather annoying, Vista draws out start up and shut down times and the Synaptics Touchpad looses it's ease of use in humid conditions. As your fingertips become moist and the humidity rises - your fingers tend to stick to the surface versus sliding smoothly and effortlessly over the touchpad surface. This is a minor but notable annoyance. Other than the aforementioned shortcomings (particularly Vista), I have noticed no other weaknesses in this computer.
